Head of Technology

Full-time (40h), Munich/Hybrid

We are looking for an experienced and visionary Head of Technology to lead the development and

execution of our technology strategy, drive innovation in our encosa Energy Cloud, and

ensure the scalability and security of our platform as we rapidly grow.

Your new role

As the Head of Technology of encosa, you will be at the forefront of our technological innovation and

strategic growth. You will lead the development and execution of our technology strategy,

ensuring that our products and services not only meet current market needs but set new

industry standards. Your role will involve managing the development of our proprietary

Energy Management System and ensuring the scalability and security of our platform.

Key Responsibilities:

● Technology Strategy & Leadership: Define and execute the technology roadmap in

alignment with our business goals. Lead the development of innovative solutions that

drive energy savings for our clients.

● Product Development: Oversee the continuous improvement of the encosa Energy

Cloud, ensuring that it remains at the cutting edge of the industry. Lead the

integration of new technologies, such as AI-driven analytics, to enhance our service

offerings.

● Team Building & Management: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing

technical team. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

● Scalability & Security: Ensure that our technology infrastructure is scalable, secure,

and capable of supporting our rapid growth. Oversee the development of our Virtual

Power Plant (VPP) integration and other advanced features.

● Partnerships & Collaboration: Work closely with external partners, including data

providers and hardware suppliers, to ensure we leverage the best available

technologies. Collaborate with the business development and operations teams to

align technical initiatives with market needs.

● Technical Risk Management: Identify potential technical risks and implement

mitigation strategies. Ensure all technological developments are robust, scalable, and

compliant with industry standards and regulations.

Your Profile:

● Experience: Proven experience as a Head of Technology / CTO or in a similar leadership role within a

startup or rapidly growing company, preferably in the energy, software, or technology

sectors.

● Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of software development, cloud

computing, and emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, and EO data integration.

Experience with battery storage systems and energy management solutions is a

strong plus.

● Leadership & Vision: Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a

technical team. Visionary thinking with the ability to translate business goals into

technological solutions.

● Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical challenges and

make decisions that drive innovation and business growth.

● Education: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced

degrees are a plus.

● Language Skills: English fluency is a must; German proficiency is a plus.

● Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex

technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

● Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to

changing priorities.
