ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Product Manager – Accounting (m/f/d) at Pliant, you will be responsible for one of our product development teams within the larger Product, Engineering, and Design organization. Your primary responsibility will be to enhance and expand our accounting features, automations, and integrations, ensuring they meet the diverse needs of our international customer base. This role requires close collaboration with Sales and Customer Service teams to align on customer requirements and priorities, as well as direct engagement with customers to deeply understand their needs and pain points.

WHAT YOU´LL DO

• Develop and execute the product strategy and roadmap for accounting-related features, ensuring alignment with Pliant’s business objectives.
• Enhance accounting workflows by implementing automation solutions, ranging from rule-based systems to AI-driven processes, to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Deliver robust international accounting integrations, aligning with regional standards and best practices to ensure seamless adoption and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, sales, and customer service, to deliver user-friendly and scalable accounting solutions.
• Gather and prioritize customer feedback through direct interactions and partnerships with internal teams to ensure our products effectively address customer needs.
• Monitor and analyze product performance using data-driven insights to identify opportunities for improvement and measure the impact of new features.

WHAT YOU´LL BRING

• 3+ years of product management experience in fintech or SaaS, focusing on accounting processes and integrations in a B2B context.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, workflows, and systems, with experience in automating accounting tasks and ideally integrating various accounting software solutions.
• Proven track record of managing complex projects involving cross-functional teams in a dynamic, international environment.
• Experience with process automation using both and rule-based and ideally also AI-based systems to streamline accounting workflows is beneficial.
• Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making and problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities, capable of articulating a clear vision, building consensus, and motivating teams to achieve goals.
• Hands-on technical skills and knowledge: it would be beneficial if you are comfortable demonstrating basic coding skills and understanding technical concepts to communicate effectively with engineering teams.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in German or additional European languages is a plus.
