ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a key role, providing hands-on management and impact as the Finance Manager (m/f/d) for our supervised Finnish subsidiary, Pliant Oy.

This role will have you independently handle with guidance and support from the Group Finance team the Finnish Finance operations, including accounting, regulatory reporting, audits, and integration with Group/GmbH. This will be a Finland based role, we have a work space in Helsinki that can be used, and there will be some travel to Berlin.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Serve as a fully integrated member of the Pliant Finance team as well as the core team of Pliant Oy, Finland - our EMI-licensed Credit Card issuing subsidiary.
• Leading and executing key financial projects and analyses beyond only Pliant Oy, driving processes independently also vis-à-vis external parties while collaborating closely with management and the entire organization on critical analyses, content and decisions.
• Effective co-management and support of key Finance projects and analyses, such as e.g. billing, reporting, modelling incl. the coordination and management of external and internal stakeholders.
• Oversee the annual financial regulatory reporting process to the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority, including data collection, report preparation, and submission through the official reporting system. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and deadlines.
• Capable of mentoring junior team members and colleagues while demonstrating strong independent execution and decision-making skills.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Hands-on and pragmatic working style, able to communicate written & verbally complex topics in focussed fashion
• Broad experience across all aspects of Finance in Financial Services, ideally Credit Cards business
• Relevant expertise in accounting as well as regulatory and financial reporting in Financial Services, ideally familiarity with Finnish accounting & Finance practices
• Command of advanced IT tools, ideally incl. AI, to automate and make Finance process more efficient and effective
• Readiness to get things done while curiosity to dive into and learn about the exciting and challenging world of the leading European Credit Card FinTech
