ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity to support Pliant’s Legal & Compliance team in its daily business as a Legal & Compliance Working Student - Fintech (m/f/d) while gaining valuable insight into the workings of a growing Fintech organisation in the heart of Berlin.
YOUR TASKS
- Assisting in the creation of contract templates, handling tickets, reviewing and updating guidelines and policies, documenting processes and vendor management
- Conducting research on legal and compliance issues as required with the team
- Support on monitoring upcoming changes in relevant laws, including in the areas of regulatory law, corporate law, and data protection law (incl. AI)
- Creating presentations, fact sheets and checklists for the business on selected topics
- Supporting with administrative tasks such as digital contract management and translation of legal documents (e.g. contract templates, terms and conditions, privacy notices)
- Helping compile documentation for audits, license applications, and risk committee reporting.
- Coordination of complex issues with other Pliant departments such as Product, Marketing, IT, Sales and Customer Success
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Enrolled as a current law student with main studies completed
- Excellent German and English language skills, other languages are a plus but not essential
- You are keen to familiarise yourself with different legal topics (e.g. data protection, corporate law, regulatory law, compliance)
- You enjoy working independently, in a solution-oriented, reliable and structured way
- A keen interest in FinTech and Digitalisation
