Description
As the Supply Chain Manager at QuantumDiamonds, you will have the pivotal role of leading the hardware supply chain from a scale-up stage to global industrial production. You will build and execute the end-to-end strategy of bringing quantum sensing devices into every advanced semiconductor fab.
Who we are
Founded in 2022 as a spin-off of TU Munich, QD leverages quantum sensors to rapidly capture three-dimensional current maps within multi-layer chips. Our 30-strong team of physicists, engineers, and data scientists works side by side with major semiconductor manufacturers, helping them in chip debugging and accelerating their yield analysis. Backed by top-tier deep tech investors, semiconductor experts, and strategic public programs, we have ensured long-term stability, shifting from breakthrough to scale - and shaping the next chapter in chip testing.
Why join us?
Picture this:
  • A machine that catches what others miss – in milliseconds.
  • Physics, data, and engineering are working hand in hand to build tools that matter.
  • An international team, who loves solving hard problems and where knowledge flows fast.
Still unsure about why joining us?
  • You'll get to build a company together with a brilliant and welcoming team on a product that has never been done before.
  • Our technology is the cutting edge of tomorrow, starting today and not in 10 years.
  • You will work directly with major semiconductor companies from Day 1.
  • You'll get virtual shares and act on behalf of the entire company, beyond just your own team.
  • You’ll be part of a high-growth company backed by top-tier investors.
Let’s make the invisible visible!
What will you do
  • Own the end-to-end supply chain for QuantumDiamonds hardware systems, including procurement, logistics, inventory, and manufacturing scheduling.
  • Build and manage strategic relationships with suppliers of optics, lasers, mechanics, ensuring on-time delivery for low-volume, high-complexity parts.
  • Establish scalable supply chain processes for prototype builds, pilot series, and industrial production, moving from ad-hoc buying to structured purchasing.
  • Manage export/import control and customs procedures to ensure compliant global shipping
  • Develop cost models, supply risk assessments, and lead-time strategies for critical components.
  • Lead contract negotiations, including pricing, delivery terms, and supplier performance KPIs.
  • Drive vendor qualification, audits, and compliance (ISO, cleanroom handling, semiconductor-grade components, etc.).
  • Set up and operate ERP/MRP processes, ensuring accurate BOM management and traceability.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and QA to ensure component quality, manufacturability, and performance.
  • Continuously optimize cost, reliability, and supply resilience as we scale to tens and hundreds of systems.
What is expected of you
  • 4+ years of experience in hardware supply chain, operations, procurement, or manufacturing, ideally in semiconductors, photonics, optics, or precision instrumentation.
  • Strong understanding of complex multi-vendor supply chains, including custom optics, precision mechanics, electronics, and high-spec materials.
  • Proven ability to own supplier negotiations, contracts, and performance management.
  • Experience with import/export regulations and logistics for high-value technical equipment.
  • Hands-on mindset with the ability to work closely with engineering, labs, and manufacturing partners.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems, BOM handling, and inventory processes.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with a data-driven decision-making approach.
  • Excellent communication skills: able to align suppliers, internal teams, and leadership around clear operational plans.
  • (Nice to have) Experience with deep-tech scaling, quantum/optical hardware, or semiconductor industry supply chains.
  • (Nice to have) Familiarity with semiconductor quality processes, including ISO 9001, cleanroom protocols, and general electronics manufacturing standards.
