We are looking for an Industrial Solution Architect to join our team. This hybrid role combines technical support and business development to drive innovation and growth in industrial software automation solutions. You will work closely with our clients, engineering team, and technology partners to enable cloud-based PLC accessibility, develop interfaces, and cultivate business opportunities.

• Technical Enablement:

  • Enable PLC accessibility from the cloud (AWS), focusing on Rockwell, Siemens, Beckhoff, and CodeSys.

  • Develop interfaces to respective automation IDEs (e.g., Rockwell Studio 5000) using Python and vendor-specific SDKs/APIs.

  • Define, execute, and maintain automated tests for automation IDE interfaces and remotely handling PLCs on the shop floor.

  • Develop PLC code in IEC 61131-3 (Ladder Diagram, Structured Text, Function Block Diagram, etc.).

  • Further develop rendering capabilities for vendor-specific versions of IEC 61131-3 languages.

  • Develop microservices on AWS using Python, Serverless Application Model (SAM), and build deployment pipelines using GitLab CI.

  • Create comprehensive technical documentation.

  • Engage with potential clients to identify business opportunities and understand their needs in industrial automation.

  • Collaborate with sales teams to support the growth of our B2B SaaS application using the latest cloud technologies.

  • Work with engineering teams from technology partners (e.g., VMware, Bosch Rexroth, AWS) on joint offerings and projects.

  • Provide technical insights and support during sales engagements and client meetings.

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and partners, ensuring satisfaction and fostering long-term collaboration.

• Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to innovate in the field of industrial automation.

• Completed bachelor’s degree in control engineering/automation technology, computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or an equivalent field.

• 3+ years of experience with programming Rockwell and/or Siemens PLCs.

• 3+ years of experience with Rockwell Studio 5000 and/or Siemens TIA Portal.

• Experience with high-level programming languages such as Python/Java/C#/C++.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German required.

• Ph.D. or master’s degree in control engineering/automation technology, computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or an equivalent field.

• Experience with programming Siemens, Beckhoff, Codesys, B&R, Schneider, and/or Mitsubishi PLCs.

• Experience with automation IDEs such as Siemens TIA Portal, Beckhoff TwinCat, Codesys Studio, or similar.

• Basic understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.

• Basic understanding of React with TypeScript.
